Research System

The Research System provides structured daily, weekly, monthly, and seasonal tasks with rewards. It is one of the primary sources of consistent income and progression on Pokecade.

How Research Works

Open the research GUI to see your available tasks. Each task has a specific objective (catch X Pokemon, catch X of a type, catch X unique species, etc.), a progress tracker, and rewards. Complete the objective and claim your reward before the reset timer.

Example Daily Tasks

  • Daily Catch 15: Catch 15 Pokemon of any species. Reward: $1,500 + 12 Poke Balls.
  • Daily Unique Species 8: Catch 8 different species in one day. Reward: 25 Tokens + 8 Great Balls.
  • Daily Type Fire 5: Catch 5 Fire-type Pokemon. Reward: type-specific items and currency.

Tasks rotate, so the available objectives change each reset period. Weekly and monthly tasks require more effort but pay proportionally higher rewards. Seasonal tasks are long-term goals that span an entire season.

Research Tips

  • Check your research daily — daily tasks are the easiest consistent income.
  • Plan your catching sessions around multiple tasks at once. If you have a "catch 15 Pokemon" daily AND a "catch Fire types" task, go to a desert or volcanic biome to progress both simultaneously.
  • Progress is calculated before completing — you must have current progress on a task before you can claim it. You cannot retroactively claim tasks for Pokemon caught before accepting the task.
  • Research uses PlaceholderAPI integration, so progress is tracked automatically across your session.
