Server Rules
Please read and follow these guidelines to keep Pokecade a great place for everyone
Notice
All rules in this document are the ruleset for the PokeCade Server, relating to the Minecraft server. Rules are subject to change and it is you (the player)’s responsibility to keep up to date with these rules. The Management Team reserves the right to punish players for any offence, at their own discretion.
Additionally, The Management Team has the final say in anything related to punishments and the decision made will always stand. You are allowed to appeal punishments normally through the ticket system of the public discord.
Please use common sense when playing our server, while something may not be directly in our rules, try to act in the spirit of the server and rules. If something isn’t in the ruleset below and are wondering if it is allowed, please create a ticket.
You are required to follow these rules at all times across the network, at all times. Please note that each server on our network may come with specific rules, in which you should follow as well. If you need help in any way, please reach out to us via a ticket via our Discord.
Rule Set
All of the rules are going to be listed below. You can quickly find the rule you are looking for by using CTRL + F and then typing your keyword, or phrase, and you will be able to find the rule you are looking for.
Spam
This is where players are either sending multiple of the same, very similar messages, talking in chat a letter/word at a time within a short period of time or character/caps spam longer than one line within a single message.

Disrespect
This is where players are disrespectful to others outside of the usual “trash talking” where it is to the point of harassment. This also includes any disrespect, harassment or targeting of staff.

Inappropriate Language
This is where players make sexual and/or inappropriate remarks in chat that are not suitable to players under 16.

Inappropriate Links
Any link in the chat isn’t allowed in any case. You should only link things in the chat that are to do with PokeCade.

Discrimination
This is where players make any derogatory comments based on Ethnicity, Race, Religion, disability, Gender or beliefs.

Verbal Threats
This is where players make a threat / encourage harm towards a player. This includes making any comment that would harm a player in any way if acted upon.

Inappropriate Item Name
This where players have re-named any item to bypass any of our rules. This includes renaming items to anything that would be punishable if said in chat. In the event of a punishment the item will be deleted and no compensation given.
This will follow the timeframes of the offence broken if it was a chat offence.
Inappropriate Build
This is where players build discriminatory or inappropriate builds. This includes anything that is hateful towards a person/group, depicts harm being done to another person/group as well as general inappropriate builds due to their sexual nature. In the event of a punishment being issued the build will be deleted with no compensation given.

Minor Griefing
This is where players intentionally destroy, troll, steal or do damage to another claim.

Major Griefing

Claim Restrictions
Do not build or claim within 200 blocks of another player’s claim without permission. This prevents crowding and allows for future expansion.
Claim removed with no compensation.
Scamming
This is where players deceive other players to steal items, currency, or services through false promises or trades. This rule applies to in-game items being traded for in-game items or currencies.

Unfair Advantage
This is where players use any software and/or hardware that gives them an advantage on the server. This includes all modifications/mods that give any advantage.

Light Advertisement
This is where players lightly promote another server. This primarily includes asking in chat if anyone wants to play xyz server with them or any message that encourages players to go onto another server.

Media Advertising
This is where players advertise their twitch or youtube channel to the extent that enough information is given that players can find the account. Whether it's a link in chat, your account name, a keyword and any other way to find a non-media or non-youtube ranks account and/or video.

Server Advertising
This is where players directly promote another minecraft or discord server in any chat that isn’t PokeCade. This is where IPs or invites are directly shared or posted in chat.

Forging Evidence
This is where players fake or edit evidence in a way to attempt to get someone punished.

Inappropriate IGN / Skin
Anything that is seen to break one of our rules or be inappropriate for the server is not allowed. You will be permanently banned, but you will be unbanned if you change it.

Scams Links
Users may attempt to use malicious methods to steal or corrupt a user's data or make threats or take actions that could potentially harm them. This is where players send links in chat in an attempt to steal personal information or cause harm when clicked on.

Malicious Threats
Malicious actions or threats (e.g. DDoS or DoX) or any abuse that may harm someone physically and/or compromise their privacy is forbidden. This includes sharing or promoting suspicious material such as IPs, domains, malware, viruses, shock, phishing and piracy sites.

Personal Information (PII)
Disclosure of personal information of another with no consent. As well as, but not limited to, sharing other personal information such as names, ages, images or other means of identifying a user that the player does not wish to be public.1st Offence » Permanent Ban
IRL Trading
This is where players advertise buying/selling real-life goods, services, or personal information for in game items/currencies. As well as buying/selling items for IRL currencies, trading items across servers/platforms or requesting personal details from other players.

Minor Bug Abusing
This is where players take advantage of any minor bug to gain an advantage on the server. This includes using any bug to manipulate Pokemon spawns.

Major Bug Abusing
This is where players find, use and abuse an exploit/dupe on the server. This also includes not reporting an exploit or dupe in a ticket as well as creating and/or using anything to intentionally affect the performance of the PokeCade network like lag machines.

Chargeback
This is where players attempt or succeed in opening a dispute in the store for anything purchased in-game. This is automatically processed by the store provider and is something out of our hands that needs directly resolving with them.

This is where players bypass a punishment on their main account by playing/chatting on a different account instead.

Admin Discretion
This is where players commit an offence that is not listed in the rules, is an extreme offence that deserves a more severe punishment than listed, or a player has reached an offence past the rules.
This has no set offence timeframes
Encouraging Rule Breaking
This is where players encourage or promote other players to break the rules whether this is encouraging players to spam or to trick players into saying a discriminatory term.
This will follow the timeframes of the offence a user is encouraging another to break
