PokeBuilder is the ultimate Pokemon customization tool on Pokecade. It lets you modify nearly every aspect of your Pokemon using PokeBuilder Tokens — a dedicated currency earned through gameplay.
How to Use PokeBuilder

| IVs | Edit individual genetic base stats (0–31 per stat). Perfect your Pokemon's hidden potential. |
| EVs | Edit effort value training points. Instantly apply competitive EV spreads without grinding. |
| Nature | Change your Pokemon's nature to any of the 25 options. Switch to Adamant, Jolly, Modest, Timid, or any other competitive nature. |
| Ability | Switch between a Pokemon's standard abilities or unlock its Hidden Ability. |
| Shiny Status | Toggle whether your Pokemon is shiny or not. |
| Gender | Change your Pokemon's gender (where the species supports it). |
| Poke Ball | Change the ball your Pokemon is stored in. Match aesthetics to your preference. |
| Size | Modify your Pokemon's physical size in the world. |
| Friendship | Adjust friendship value. Useful for friendship-based evolutions. |
| Level | Modify your Pokemon's level directly. |
| Moves | Change your Pokemon's moveset. Learn moves it couldn't otherwise access at its current level. |
PokeBuilder Tokens
PokeBuilder uses its own token currency, separate from the main PokeDollars economy. Every modification has a token cost, and prices are balanced so that common changes (nature, EVs) are accessible while powerful changes (shiny status, hidden abilities) are more expensive.
How to earn Tokens:
- Complete research tasks (daily, weekly, monthly, seasonal tasks award 25–250+ Tokens).
- Complete adventure missions (100–250 Tokens per mission, with type-match bonuses).
- Event rewards and other gameplay systems.
When to Use PokeBuilder
- Competitive team building: You caught or bred a Pokemon with great IVs but the wrong nature? Fix the nature with PokeBuilder instead of breeding dozens more eggs.
- Finishing touches: Your 5IV Pokemon is missing one perfect IV. PokeBuilder can fill that gap faster than continued breeding.
- Hidden Abilities: Some hidden abilities are extremely hard to find in the wild. PokeBuilder can unlock them on Pokemon you already have.
- Aesthetic customization: Change the Poke Ball, toggle shiny, or resize your Pokemon for cosmetic preference.
Tips
- Prioritize nature and ability changes — these have the biggest competitive impact for the token cost.
- Use breeding to get most of your IVs right first, then use PokeBuilder to fix the last 1–2 imperfect stats. This is more token-efficient than maxing all 6 IVs from scratch.
- Save tokens for high-value changes like Hidden Ability unlocks and shiny toggles.
- PokeBuilder is especially valuable for legendaries, which cannot be bred — it's the only way to perfect a legendary's stats after catching it.
