Legendary Pokemon

Pokecade features a massive roster of legendary Pokemon that spawn naturally in the wild as you play. The legendary pool goes far beyond what the base Cobblemon mod offers — Pokecade has added custom spawns for legendaries across all generations, from the original Kanto birds and Mewtwo all the way through modern legendaries like Zacian and Zamazenta.

How Legendary Spawns Work

As you explore the world, legendary Pokemon have a chance to spawn near you naturally. They appear in the overworld just like any other wild Pokemon — you'll see them, hear them, and have to act fast. Legendaries despawn after a limited time if not engaged, so always be ready with your best team and Poke Balls.

The server uses a custom legendary spawn system that manages which legendaries can appear and how often. Spawns are limited per player to keep legendaries feeling rare and special. You won't encounter them constantly, but consistent playtime increases your chances of seeing one.

The Legendary Roster

Pokecade's legendary pool includes 42+ species spanning all major generations:

  • Generation 1: Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres, Mewtwo
  • Generation 2: Raikou, Entei, Suicune, Ho-Oh, Lugia
  • Generation 3: Regirock, Regice, Registeel, Latias, Latios, Groudon, Kyogre, Rayquaza
  • Generation 4: Uxie, Mesprit, Azelf, Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, Heatran, Regigigas, Cresselia
  • Generation 5: Reshiram, Zekrom, Kyurem, Tornadus, Thundurus, Landorus
  • Generation 6: Xerneas, Yveltal, Zygarde
  • Generation 7: Solgaleo, Lunala, Necrozma, Marshadow, Silvally
  • Generation 8: Zacian, Zamazenta

This is a living pool — new legendaries and mythicals are added as Pokecade expands its content.

Pity System

Pokecade uses a pity system to prevent excessive bad luck. The longer you play without encountering a legendary, the higher your chances become on subsequent checks. Once a legendary spawns for you, the pity resets. This ensures that dedicated players are eventually rewarded for their time.

Shrine Events

During special events, the legendary spawn system switches to a themed pool with unique Pokemon at specific shrine locations in the world. Shrine Events feature curated legendaries with set natures, making them a great opportunity to get competitively viable legendaries. Keep an eye on server announcements and Discord for upcoming events.

Tips for Legendary Hunting

  • Stay active and explore — consistent playtime is the biggest factor in encountering legendaries.
  • Always carry your best Poke Balls (Ultra Balls, Dusk Balls, Timer Balls) so you're ready when one appears.
  • Bring a strong team — legendaries are high-level and won't go down easily.
  • Status moves like Sleep Powder and Thunder Wave dramatically increase catch rates. Have a dedicated "catcher" Pokemon in your party with False Swipe + a status move.
  • Legendaries that appear in the world won't wait forever — engage them promptly before they despawn.
  • After a specific legendary species is caught on the server, there is a cooldown before that same species can appear again, so the pool rotates naturally over time.
