Gyms
Pokecade uses a Fusion League gym system where each gym specializes in a dual-type combination rather than a single type. Players can teleport to any gym, challenge the gym leader NPC, and earn rewards for victory.

Gym Strategy Tips
- Each gym uses a dual-type combination. Find Pokemon that are super-effective against BOTH types for maximum advantage. For example, against Frostbyte (Ice/Electric), Ground-type moves hit Electric super-effectively and resist Electric attacks, while Fighting or Fire moves handle Ice.
- Gym battles use the Cobblemon battle engine (Pokemon Showdown), so all standard competitive mechanics apply — abilities, held items, stat boosts, weather, etc.
- Prepare a team of at least 3–4 strong Pokemon at appropriate levels before challenging a gym.
- The Gym Leader Trial tournament ruleset is designed around this dual-type system — winning gym challenges is good practice for tournament play.
